Cerushield Disc wax filters/guards fit at the end of the speaker which sits inside the ear, preventing ear wax and dust entering a hearing aid and causing damage and reduced sound. Use gap “1” to remove the old filter and gap “2” to insert the new one.
Wax filters generally need to be replaced every couple of weeks. When wax and debris accumulate around the speaker of a hearing aid, the sound quality and volume is often reduced and the hearing aid can appear to stop working all together. You can increase the lifespan of wax filters by inspecting and cleaning them regularly.
